Autumn Night

Standing in the mild wintery night
Caressed gently by cool breeze
Deception gripping that my own abode is safer than the world outside
It’s the comfortable quilt giving me mild respite
At the cost of freedom and something called life
Bartering ideals for intellectual strife
Slowly heave a sigh
Retrace my steps I don’t know why
Walking back towards dunlop and wool
Standing at the threshold of lukewarm and cool…
