Elmo lay in a tangled mess of feathers and contraptions on the floor.
“I thought disguising myself as a canary would help me get this job!” he wailed (to the world or to himself, he knew not).
Poor little Elmo. At three and a half years old, he was still too young to understand the world.
Little did he know that what we achieve is a function of who we are on the inside, not who we project ourselves on the outside as.
